CE's Circular No. 220
Sub: LWR Plans.
All the LWR Plans prepared in divisions
should strictly follow the check lists, which is enclosed duly updated to
incorporate the amendments up to correction slip No.7
Henceforth all the LWR Plans
will be personally approved by THOD during their visit to the division. Sr.
DEN/Co-ord of the division will personally scrutinize the plan and approve
provisionally before putting it up to THOD.

12. Are all the SEJs located on straight or upto ˝ o curve (excluding transition portion)? (4.5.5)
13. Are the SEJs located at least 150 metres away from the Level Crossing? (i.e. there should be no L/C on the breathing length.) (4.5.2 )
14. Are the SEJs located at least three rail length (39 m) away from the stock rail joints and heel of crossing with details of P&C type and layout?(4.5.3)
15. Are the Points of P&C in facing or trailing direction?
16. Does the plan give the track details ( i.e. L/C, Point & Xing, Bridges, Gradients etc.) for at least 200 metres before the Ist SEJ (on the left hand side ) and 200 metres after the last SEJ (on the right hand side) of the proposed LWR to examine and study the feasibility of locating the Ist & last SEJ?
17. Is the LWR proposed over any Girder bridge? If so have the relevant provisions of para 4.5.7.1 of LWR Manual’1996 been satisfied?
18. Are the SEJs located at least 50 metres away on either side with well anchored track when the bridge is isolated from the LWR? [4.5.7(ii)]
